I may have discovered the secret of blogging in Molokai! U have to get up in the middle of the night to do it! About these photos, these were taken yesterday at the western end of the Island. It is much different terrain as if it were a different country, very hilly and lots of fields that have grass growing but nothing else. The dirt is actually bright red, although for some reason it doesn't show that colour in the pics. I think there is one of me photographing something and catching my image in the car mirror.
I am going to try to post today's adventure also.......and tomorrow THE GREAT MULE RIDE if I don't fall off the cliff I will post again when we get back. Aloha

the first two pictures were taken yesterday, i love the pic of the sunset. Today we drove as far east on the island as the road goes. It was quite amazing as the road is ocean on one side and mountain on the other. The views were absolutely breathtaking.
This morning I sat on our lanai, with tiny beads of sweat on my tanned forehead, drank my macadamia coffee and wondered how my dear friend Kathy was doing. Get those stats ready my girl!!
Pa swam naked on a deserted (well after he stripped down it was anyway)beach and I waded fully clothed in amazing surf and found some shells for my Siobhan. I miss you all and wish you were here. Danica and Jacqui you will appreciate the photo of the wave crashing on the rocks I think.....I waited and waited as the delay on my camera is huge but I am delighted with the end result. We called on you Michael, to give a good frowning to a driver that felt we were going too fast on the treacherous road up the island. Perhaps we could get some lessons?
.....food is incredibly expensive here, for dinner tonight, Robin had the local fish and I had stuffed shrimp which sounded good but wasn't. The local fish was 26$ and I think the shrimp was 23$. Methinks we will be cooking at home more.

two beautiful little girls were here for a visit last week and now my orchid is blooming!! Have to love that ionic water fogger (or whatever it is actually called) now I am waiting for the one Rob and Jacqui gave me to bloom.
two more sleeps then HAWAII HERE WE COME!! (poor poor mules)

I was lucky enough to have a visit from Makenna and Saige OVERNIGHT!! I am so lucky. and then Makenna posed in her new dress for me to post so you can all see how big she is getting.

I went over to Vancouver to see the Musselams and took very few pictures! I totally meant to take some of the house but got captivated with those beauties and forgot the house entirely!! It is lovely and sooooo quiet...I had expected to hear traffic noise but it was remarkably absent! Lisa and her two gorgeous boys came over and I was too slow witted to grab some pics of Ronan and 'Wiam" but they will live in my memory!
I got the girls to sit through having their hair brushed by promising them photos of the back of their heads!!! Wish I had had a digital when their mother was a baby!!
